Built by someone who
couldn't stand watching
engineers suffer.

OperatorMesh started as frustration. It became a product. This is that story.

The origin

The 45-minute problem nobody was solving

I'm not an engineer. I'm Praveen B Ballari — a finance professional and product builder based in India. I don't write production code. I don't run on-call shifts. But I've watched engineers do it, up close, enough times to see a pattern that frustrated me deeply.

Production goes down at 2AM. The engineer opens six tabs — Datadog, logs, Slack, runbooks, GitHub, the deployment history. They stare. They correlate. They guess. They test. Forty-five minutes later, they find it. A single config change. One line. Something that, in retrospect, was obvious.

And the whole time, a thought kept coming back to me: why doesn't something just tell them what it probably is?

"The monitoring tools are excellent at telling you something broke. Nobody tells you why — fast."
— Praveen B Ballari, Founder

I'm not the first person to notice this. But I might be the first person to build a solution as a non-engineer, with no team, no funding, and no infrastructure budget — and ship a working product in under two weeks.

OperatorMesh is my answer to that 2AM problem. Paste your logs. Get a root cause in 3 seconds. Not perfect. Not autonomous. Not a replacement for your brain. Just a fast starting hypothesis — so you spend 3 minutes triaging instead of 45.

👨‍💼
Praveen B Ballari
Founder, OperatorMesh · India
I'm a product builder based in India. My background is in business operations and strategy — not software engineering. OperatorMesh is proof that you don't need to be a technical founder to build a technical product that works. I used AI tools, no-code platforms, and a lot of stubbornness to ship a real product that real engineers can use. Every feature request goes directly to me. Every payment gets a personal response. That's not a limitation — it's a feature.

What we believe

01
Engineers deserve faster answers
A 45-minute triage for a 3-second fix is a systems problem, not a talent problem. The goal of OperatorMesh is to compress that gap — not replace the engineer, but remove the guesswork that wastes their time at the worst possible moment.
02
Your data is not our product
Zero data retention is not a marketing claim — it's an architectural decision made on day one. Your production logs contain sensitive information. We process them in-memory and discard them immediately. Always. No exceptions.
03
Advisory, not autonomous
OperatorMesh never takes actions. It never restarts servers, rolls back deployments, or modifies infrastructure. It gives you a hypothesis and ranked next steps. You decide what to do. That boundary is intentional and permanent.
04
Radical transparency
We publish our changelog publicly. We show dual confidence scores — diagnosis and remediation separately. We show what hypotheses were considered and eliminated. We show what evidence would make us more confident. We are explicit about what we store. If something doesn't work, we say so. Radical transparency is not a marketing claim — it is an architectural decision.
05
Solo founder is a feature, not a bug
When you email founder@operatormesh.com, Praveen reads it and replies. When you find a bug, it gets fixed this week — not in the next sprint. When you need a custom integration, we build it for you. That's only possible because there's no bureaucracy between you and the person who built this.

Our mission
Make every 2AM incident end in 3 seconds, not 45 minutes.
We exist to give every DevOps engineer and SRE a fast, honest, private first hypothesis — so they can spend their time fixing, not guessing.
